The Masked L’Aperitivo is held at newly renovated and one of Melbourne institution, Grosvenor Wine Bar and Bistro in St Kilda East.
The Grosvenor is celebrating what drives millions of visitors to Venice each year – L’apertivo and the Venetian Carnivale – by offering the finest Italian aperitifs, cocktails, wines and beers served alongside Italian-inspired dishes, with roving entertainment to capture the essence of these Italian traditions.
Guests will spend the evening feasting on: banchi caldi, banchi freddi, crude di pesce and carpaccio, prosecco, prosciutto and polenta, to pasta, pizza and risotto. Indulging in Campari, cocktails, chianti and pinot grigio, and finishing with café and affogato. So jealous! Everything sounds so yummy and delightful.

Oh my!! You really need to come back to Melbourne for some events (and good coffee!).
I want to try the range of pasticcini they have on offer. Desserts never fail to inspire and delight me, and I’m not all that familiar with the Italian variants of petit fours.

I just need to come back to Melbourne for coffee.
Looking at their menu, I would like to try everything, as i’ve never really dine in an Italian restaurant/bistro before…and this event will be good as im sure they will serve good quality FOOD..
The whole menu looks fab, but I would particularly like the prosecco and crude di pesce and carpaccio.
By the way, I like you on Facebook and follow you on Twitter…
I don’t know what some of those foods are without the aid of Google – but I am always keen to try new things…there’s nothing I wont try once. Except insects maybe. At least the Italians don’t eat those so I’m safe ;-P

Wow, to eat, I would like to try the pizza at Grosvenor as I am craving for some authentic Italian pizza! Hopefully, that comes with matching wines too!
Ps. I do follow you on Twitter too! :p
Oh, I’d love to eat anything Italian because I really do miss the authentic taste of Italian food that I once had years back in all the beautiful cities in Italy and I believe the Grosvenor can drift me back to this fond memory.
But if I only had one option, it’d definitely be the pasticcini. I’m a sucker for all things sweet, and desserts make me happy. That’s why they say it’s no coincidence that desserts is stressed spelt backwords.
oh my, what a lovely evening that will be! desserts are always my favorite – the final dish of a meal that always leaves the strongest impression, so i would have to go with the pasticcini please!

I would love to try everything they present at the event including carpaccio, pastries, fish and cheese. Authentic Italian at its best, I have to try everything!
Am following you on twitter and facebook too.
Cheers!
Wow, this sounds heavenly! I’d most love to try risotto; preferably a seafood one, but any type. I am a very big fan of risotto but my husband and children aren’t so keen, so I rarely get to eat it. I follow you on Facebook and twitter too. Thankyou SO much for the opportunity to win this wonderful prize; it will be an evening to remember!
I am not available but I am still a little jealous, everything sounds amazing! I used to live is Surry Hills when I first moved to Sydney, when I read these stories and the one before it on your website I do miss being so close to everything.

Ok so I ‘m back to enter another comment (I reeeaallyy want these tickets!)
Considering its going to be a scorcher today in Melbourne, the dish I’d most like to try would be the afogato. Delish!
I certainly do not mind some good pasta

Hi again!! I would love to try the pasticcini. I used to work in an Italian Pasticerria (before having my children), and I loved the delicious sweets, especially tirimisu.
My first entry is missing – has obviously been lost in action! So here it is again:
I am very adventurous when it comes to food and love trying new dishes and new cuisines. I don’t know what the banchi caldi and banchi freddi are, but they sound exotic so I’d like to try those!
Long time reader, first time poster:p
The carpaccio! I love carpaccio anything anytime! Would love to try that!
Hi!! My last shot at trying to win! Thanks so much for the opportunity. Today I’d love a bit of pasta carbonara
On a cool night, you can’t go past beautiful pasta and wine… so I’d love to try some home-made saucy pasta and chianti!
Hi again! New day, new entry>.<
Given how dreary Melbourne is at the moment, the risotto sounds wonderfully comforting…
Ok I would like to try banchi caldi and banchi freddi because after googling them I am still nowhere closer to knowing what they are
Also liked you on Facebook…
