Humble Asian recipes
I really excited about my new 6-in-1 multicooker sponsored by Kitchenware Direct and can’t stop using it. This week I shall be introducing the steam function. I had a sudden crazing for steam mince pork as well as salted egg. So why not mix them both together? And I am going to introduce you to my favourite preserved chilli radish. I am so addicted to this radish and goes especially well with congee.
This is a personal favourite dish of mine. Pork belly is usually used but lately, I have an obsession and addiction with pork neck and pock hock. Many uses pork neck for making char siew but I’ve decided to slow cook the pork neck by using my new toy, the 6 – in 1 multi-cooker, sponsored by Kitchenware Direct. With the hectic lifestyle after moving up to Sydney, this will definitely make my life so much easier. I will also be able to declutter some of my appliances like the rice cooker, pressure cooker and old slow cooker. Win on all levels!
It is all about the pig this weekend. American pork ribs, nitrate free bacon, chorizo, salami and pork scotch (neck). I did have pulled pork on my mind when I got the neck but did not want to cook my usual smokey BBQ version. I was craving a little Asian touch after a week of Quay, Movida & Queenie’s which blog posts will be coming soon in the next couple of weeks.
