I will like to thank to all that came to the party. I feel so humbled by this experience. All of you are super great cooks in your own rights. Beautiful recipes, ideas and amazing photos that makes me just want to lick my screen! All the gnocchi are pillows of yummy-ness and umami-ness.

This is a recap of the umami-high experience that I had while I went through each and every dish. And I think through each dish, it does reflect the personality of each guest and their blogs. This is seriously fun.

My dish and contribution – Gnocchi gnudi – I call it the cheese balls!

I'm a little late arriving at this shin dig, but better late than never, right?

I love all of the diversity you ended up with on this project!

The dessert gnocchi are my fav.

Wow! All of those gnocchi dishes look divine! I went to a really fancy italian restaurant the other day and got the gnocchi. I expected it to be amazing but it was so bland and normal! Ahhh…total disappontment.

I really enjoyed seeing everyone's take on this dish – and diving into the unknown for some… as the first time to make it. Isn't it incredible how completely different the flavour profiles are for each of these? I was truly amazed at the diversity of dishes presented. Bravo to each of you!

And, this kind of "party" makes the quality of photography and food styling each home cook presents all the more interesting… as, not being able to taste, or smell each dish – when placed side by side, the food styling and photography is critical to making an impression.

I was having fun trying to decide which one I "liked the best" – or thought was "most artistic" – or had the most unique and appealing idea for a recipe. Lost so winners in this bunch. Five Star Foodie has the most unique photographic style. I have actually talked to her about how she achieves her floating in white space images… which really do appeal to me. Hold the Beef's plate definitely looks the healthiest and like it would have the most varied textures and flavours throughout the dish. Sense and Serendipity's recipe appeals to me on many levels: we love short ribs and adobe and Filipino food. I love Porcini mushrooms – and a whole variety of them, so Tummy Rumbles speckled gnocchi has a fundamental appeal to me… and the sage and cheese would pair perfectly, and it just looks really yummy. I would usually order anything with truffles, and the fried gnocchi made by Eat. Live. Travel. Write. has a huge appeal to me, but the pumpkin idea turned me off. Maybe if they were made with yams? Though her own review of the taste profile is out of the park, positive.

This is one dish I have not been successful at making. When you have to go to a party and write about it, I can see it would force perseverance, and that success would evolve. As a current unsuccessful gnocchi maker, yearning to become successful – I am appreciative of each an every one of you!

Bravo!
:)
