Round up of International Dumplings Incident Party

What makes this party very interesting and exciting is the anticipation of going through what everyone else has created. There is so much room for creativity and intepretation of the theme. The dumplings that will be showcased comes from so many different cultures and countries. Russian, Chinese, Indian, Italians, Austrian, Filipino and English. Having said that, I am very intrigued by the similarities of many of these dumplings even though they originate from different parts of the world. I love this whole blurring of cultures and boundaries.

International Dumplings Incident Party – Tang Yuan

Masterchef Australia has began and in its first challenge, the contestants were told to create something from their childhood memories. We were away in Hobart and so I missed out on that series but I heard that almost everyone had tears! I guess that is the part of being on reality TV. They need tears and stories to hit top ratings. I am sure they succeeded. Even though many will think that contestants should not cry on TV but if it is something touching as childhood memories, then I am sure tears will flow irregardless. It is just that TV makes use of the opportunity to capture it as this is what most audience are after. They love the tears and it is something to bitch about.

Upcoming International Dumplings Incident Party

We had 2 successful runs of the International Incident Parties – Gnocchi & infamous Pizza Pie. Dumplings is our next party theme. There are so many different ways of intepretating dumplings.

These definitions have been taken from dictionary.com:

1. A rounded mass of steamed and seasoned dough, often served in soup or with stewed meat.
2. A dessert consisting of a wrapping of dough enclosing sliced apples or other fruit, boiled or baked.
3. A short or stout person.
