by jeroxie August 12, 2009

After a rough night of sake and blue martinis, we needed a good breakfast to get us going. We got our sorry arses up from the bed and walked uphill and round the corner to this little french cafe called Le Petite Creme.

Long lazy lunch at the Mess Hall

by jeroxie August 1, 2009

Lunching on weekdays is usually hectic and work is always at the back of the mind. So it was a pleasant change to be able to lunch with a couple of girlfriends and not having to think or go back to work after. A luxury actually.

Quirky 1000 £ BEND

by jeroxie June 25, 2009

We are spoilt for lunch choices in the city. Fran suggested that we check out this new joint – 1000 £ BEND (361 Little Lonsdale St). This place is massive! It is a huge warehouse like space. There are tables, couches, odd tables. I thought I was walking into a secondhand furniture shop! Really quirky and boho style.

Breakfast at St. Ali

by jeroxie June 21, 2009

Met the Friday crew at St. Ali a wake-me-up caffeine hit and breakfast. Ordered myself an expresso shot of Kenyan Gethumbwini. Taste as described on the blackboard – Herbal with big berry tones. I was not disappointed. The aroma was not as intense and it had a sourish undertone. It hit the right notes with me and I was almost back to my usual self.
