Gingerboy – the food is exquisite, and when I eat out, that's what I'm looking for!
The Press Club – I am Greek and have been eating Greek food all my life. What George has done at The Press Club is spectacular and mouth watering enough to capture the attention and affection of even the biggest food critic I have ever met – my mother! The Press Club combines traditional Greek food and recipes, modern ideas, a mixture of both original and new ingredients, and a twist of audacity and creativity to produce absolutely breathtaking dishes that have you unbuttoning your belt buckle every time you leave The Press Club!!!
Vue De Monde is my favorite restaurant in Melbourne because their Gourmet menu is very original (duck egg, Cucumber sorbet, hare with chestnut!). In addition, their French wines list is more than impressive.
Of all the great restaurants in Melbourne it is so hard to pick just one. Having said that Ezard at Adelphi is right up there at the top. From the Japanese inspired oyster shooters which I just can't go past (have even made them at home) to the blue swimmer crab or bangalow sweet pork. Last time I was there I did the 8 course tasting menu, it was fantastic.
Definitely Movida for their tapas and TiAmo for their authentic cosy Italian-ness.
Am heading down to Melbourne soon to also try our Momo Restaurant. Can't wait!
Coco Inc Northcote
Great prices, portion size and service.
My fav – lamb skewers with side of vegies and salad.
YUMMO!!
Hellenic Republic, the ambiance sharing the mosaic-tiled 'family-table' is a great experience. The waiters are relaxed and offer enthusiastic recommendations. The food was hearty and creative!
My absolute favourite would be Melbourne's Longrain. From the first to the last time I have dined there, every single visit has been perfect in all aspects – food, atmosphere, service, price, company. No where else have I consistently eaten outstanding dishes at each visit, enjoyed fabulous cocktails with my dear friends and created the fondest of all dining memories there. I always leave with the itching need to return again. Sitting at long communal tables, facing and dining alongside strangers without the slightest feeling of awkwardness. If someone asks me they want to go somewhere for a great night out, it's Longrain, with no hesitation that they won't enjoy it, just as I have. My ultimate dining bliss is at LONGRAIN!
What a fabulous giveaway opp!
My tried-and-tested has to be the European: breakfast, lunch & dinner!
Its moodily romantic dining atmosphere is perfectly offset by the charming staff. The wine list is great, and even better, they know how to recommend for your tastes and budget!
My favourite restaurant in Melbourne is probably Ramen Ya right now. But you already knew that, right?
I wanna win the tickets!!!

Luxe Foundary – Brunswick.
Simple Concepts. Delicious Food. Super Staff.
Hi,
All of them sound wonderful! I am not a 'fan' as such because I am just a poor uni student who survive on limited allowance. I will really appreciate the tickets as an eye-opener experience with my boyfriend who is also a uni student. Thanks

Taste of London in Melbourne town,
Worthy of Michelin crowns?
Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Maze’ wins by far,
There’s fireworks on the plate, not in the vernacular!
The Himalayan Sherpa… The goat curry is absolutely exquisite and is even certified as the best they've tried by discerning Nepalese chefs! The owners are always smiling and willing to discuss business, life in Nepal or Australia or cooking despite the long hours every single day… Could eat there every single night and not get sick of it!

Dear Jeroxie Team,
our favourite restaurant is Amici on Chapel Street Melbourne. The food is absolutely divine there, the bakery is fresh and delicious and the service is exceptionally great!
Hope to hear from you soon!
Thank you, Nina
Thanks for the linky to my bloggy!
Definately excited to try Maze! Haven't made it there yet, but am keen to check out a sample at taste, before I spend the big dollars at the restaurant.
For Cantonese Flower Drum, for Italian Brunetti. To hard to choose – I just love good food, that I don't have to cook.
khazana at knox o-zone, a north indian place where kids enjoyed and we get our dose of spicy food! kids loved the butter chicken with garlic nann and i liked the lamb rogan josh.
Hi! I love your site- being new to Melbourne, it has provided me with many brilliant suggestions for places to eat. So far my favourite dining experiece has been Cumulus Inc for amazing flavour combinations and great service. I want to win the tickets so I can try more of Melbourne's fantastic restaurants without destroying my credit rating! Thanks!
Hi Jeroxie team,
One of my favourite restaurants would be the Napier Hotel in Fitzroy. I've been searching for a good restaurant to have bbq ribs and when I had their Texas BBQ ribs recently, it just blew me away They used baby back ribs, the meat was soft, tender and moist. The Texas BBQ sauce was delicious and amazing! Served together with a huge plate of chips, it was superb!
Thanks,
Alex
Vue de Monde! I have not been there myself but I've heard lots of excellent comments about the restaurant. Therefore I believe that their food indeed is awesome and I will definitely give it a try hopefully soon
I love Sarti because the food, ambience and waiters are all divine! Their homemade "magnums" are to die for, as are the bartenders…
Melba Restaurant at The Langham Hotel – there's something for everyone, and you always leave very, very satisfied!
'Organic Matters' in Hawthorn – OMG! The most beautiful organic produce – my partner and i personally love their fish and chip Friday nights – yummo – try it!
Maze Grill at Crown, the steak was cooked to perfection and if you go you must try the chocolate brownie with salted ice cream and carmel sauce, OMG it is to die for
maze grill at crown, the steak was cooked to perfection and you cannot go past the chocolate brownie with salted ice cream and caramel sauce, OMG it is to die for
We love food, but only have one wee restaurant in our town. Melbourne is spoiled for choice! Would love to visit melbourne and do taste expo if we win the freebies!
Mosskito in Clifton Hill! Huge meals and the parma is one of the best in Melbourne (and the size of a hubcap!!)
Coda off Flinders Lane. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere in the small and dimly lit restaurant off the cobbled lane shows what Melbourne is all about. Crispy rice paper roll wrapped in lettuce leaf and Thai basil is a real treat. The whole dining experience is highly recommended.
If they serve food, I'm in.
Circa The Prince
